    Description

'50s Classic Hollywood Western vintage original Ad Sheets Pressbook Lot of 9:
This is a listing for a lot of 9 vintage, original ad sheets to classic Hollywood westerns from the '50s. Ad sheets, a counterpart to the more traditional p
ressbook,  were created by the studios to be sent out to theater exhibitors for promotional purposes, primarily to place ads in newspapers & periodicals. While pressbooks contains entire campaigns and publicity material, ad sheets contain the basic ad mats and a still (or two) for advertising in newspapers & periodicals. They were likely used for second run screenings. This lot contains a full 2-page ad sheet for Jack Palance's The Lonely Man (Paramount, 1957), a 1-page ad sheet for The Lawless Eighties (Republic, 1957), a full 2-page ad sheet for Gary Cooper's Man of the West (United Artists, 1958), a full 2-page ad sheet for Randolph Scott's A Lawless Street (Columbia, 1955), a 1-page ad sheet for Massacre Canyon (Columbia, 1954), a 1-page ad sheet for Tim Holt's Road Agent (RKO, 1952), a cut 2-page ad sheet for the Rock Huson-Kirk Douglas starring The Last Sunset (Universal, 1961), a 1-page ad sheet for Man or Gun (Republic, 1958) & a full 2-page ad sheet for The Law vs Billy the Kid (Columbia, 1954).
