Please note that all of our pressbook images are scanned directly from the pressbook up for auction. Direct scans allow you to see every imperfection if there are any, and that's very important with items like this, which is why we chose to scan our images rather than photograph them. This collection has been of the utmost importance to me and has been stored in a temperature controlled room for many years in a non-smoking home with 2 Hepa air filters and in the summer 2 industrial dehumidifiers, each inside a protective bag. When scanning pressbooks, almost all of the images inside were printed to be "newspaper ready." To say it simply, newspapers use images with a small dotted look to make up a photo or advertisement, so while scanning them for viewing here, some images look like there may be light lines or other scan resulted issues on faces and other parts of an image, please note this is a result of scanning, the actual images do not have that effect. Finally, you may wonder why many of our scans (pictures of the product) state in pink letters "PHOTO FOR EBAY" or something similar over some of the images. I have discovered that there were people copying these images and enlarging them and making prints to sell. So to prevent this illegal activity, we are forced to put some print over some of the better images, they are not on the items themselves.

The pressbook has previously been folded. The front and back covers have started to separate from the rest of the pressbook, but there is still some binding holding. Some light wear along extreme left side (see photo #2, it would be along the top). All interior pages are in very nice condition. Includes the very large original 4 page herald (which has darkened due to the type of paper used and aging, see photos 9 and 10.

This auction includes an original studio one sheet poster (27" x 41) from the film as an extra (see last photo)! This poster is NOT a copy or reproduction but a studio original. While pressbooks are my main business, I am now including other movie collectibles that I have amassed over the years. The pressbook in all of our auctions is the main item because that is my specialty. I do not grade or describe the condition of the posters (except for maybe a brief description if necessary) as I am not an expert on movie posters, stills or lobby cards, it is up to you to study the photo as to the poster's condition. We guarantee that the photo posted here is a direct photo of the poster included (the poster image can be enlarged). Some posters have some kind of defect  whether it might be pinholes or writing on the back, blemishes, tears, creases, taped areas, an area with a rippled effect (probably from dampness, which can usually be seen on the scans, but not always) so please look very carefully as most of these have been used by theaters. On the other hand as I continue to look through these, some are in great condition and a few look like they were never used. So it is up to you to study the photo. All posters have been folded. This was the way they were originally sent to the theaters.

Our shipping charge includes the pressbook mailed
securely. It also includes a plastic collectible sealed bag which you can use to store your pressbook. If you order more than one pressbook, each will come with the protective bag. We ship all packages first class mail, which normally will generally arrive 3-9 days after shipping, depending how close you are to Minnesota. International orders are shipped first class international, please note there is no tracking number available for this service, only a customs number. To get a tracking number, it must be shipped international priority, and the packages being so large can cost around .00 and up. We used to offer this service but no one used it so we dropped it due to the cost, however we will ship this method upon request and pre-payment of extra postage.

ABOUT ME:
I have been a movie fan all of my life, my grandfather worked for both Universal and RKO, and my mother was an editor at Paramount. At age 8, I was taken to my grandfather's offices and saw piles of movie pressbooks stacked up. I caught the fever. I have collected since then when, at that visit, my grandfather gave me a copy of the pressbook for The Green Slime and a promotional can of actual green slime with the MGM label on it. Over the years, when I obtained a pressbook, it would immediately go into a plastic bag and was taped shut for protection. My father owned a furniture store which my grandfather opened in 1900, which I worked at for 10 years and the first thing and most important thing he taught me was about customer relations, to treasure each and every customer, so I am an old-fashioned seller who cares about each sale and your satisfaction, a "mom and pop" type store.
