VTG PAPER DOLLS 1964 SKIPPER DAY BY DAY WHITMAN #4607 ORIGNAL RARE SET!!! barbie

"Skipper Day-by-Day Wardrobe", is  Whitman #4607 was published in 1964.  This is one of 5 rare Barbie sets that Whitman did in a different sort of packaging from 1963 to 1965. The sets featured heavy cardboard dolls with plastic stands.  The outfits and accessories came in folded panels on high gloss paper and they were the punch out type.  The box did not have a lid and the set came in a cellophane wrap. The doll in this set does not have any creases or repairs but will not lay flat.  The outfits were gently played with and have some creases and a few rips.  The stand is not original, I replaced it. This set is not complete but very close to it, having a lot of the accessories.  The small cover sheet in the first photo is not original to the set, just something I printed to ID the set.  All of these #4600 series sets are very rare and highly collectable.  For the age (55 years old!!), it's in excellent used condition.  The entire set is shown and this does not have the original box with it.

All of the paper dolls that I offer are from estates and from other homes.  I don't know the previous storage history.  My collection is kept in a smoke/pet free area of my home with a dehumidifier running 24/7.  I have a poor sense of smell at my age and am unable to detect odors.  People smoked way back when, so that could linger and I would not be aware of it.  I try and list all of the flaws with any paper dolls that I sell.
I only ship to the USA.  I usually take orders to the post office on Tuesday and Friday mornings by 10AM eastern time.
